About:

Angela’s expertise lies in fertility preservation, including egg and sperm freezing required for various reasons, be it social, medical, or in preparation for gender transitioning. Beyond this, her specialisation extends to paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, as well as gynaecological issues within gender diversity.

Driven by a deep-seated passion, Angela advocates for empowering young individuals beyond the limitations often imposed by menstrual cycles. She works closely with local paediatric and pain specialists to ensure young people have the freedom to pursue their dreams without being burdened with these challenges.

Angela trained in obstetrics and gynaecology through John Hunter Hospital after graduating from Newcastle University with Distinction. After completing a fellowship through the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne she returned to Newcastle and established a paediatric and adolescent gynaecology program servicing the Hunter New England. She remains as a staff specialist gynaecologist at John Hunter and John Hunter Children’s Hospitals in Newcastle, NSW.

During her time in Melbourne, Angela was exposed to the importance of fertility options for gender diverse patients as well as young people faced with malignancy or severe medical illness. Angela completed a Master of Reproductive Medicine and Graduate Certificate in Clinical Innovation to augment her knowledge in these important fields.
